Discovery 1 is an innovative primary school based in central Christchurch, New Zealand. We are all 9 to 11 year old students at Discovery 1 wanting to help ban Powerwalls in New Zealand.

Malachi
My name is Malachi and I like chocolate and cheese. I want to do the Powerwall project because my sister smokes and she can't stop but I can help other people stop smoking.


Scott
I am Scott and am 10 years old. I love playing soccer and computer games. I wanted to do this project because my dad's friend is stuck on smoking so I want to get the picture of tobacco out of his sight.


Isla
My name is Isla and I'm from Christchurch, NZ and I'm 10 years old. I do dancing, mostly ballet but it varies and so does the time, it can go up to 16 hours a week. I'm getting involved in this Powerwall project because my nanny died from cancer because she smoked.

Jess
Hey people I'm Jess. I'm an 11 year old Kiwi girl. I love my dog and shopping. I'm part of the Powerwall group because I have a feeling about tobacco and I hate it all my life, and I've always wanted it gone so this is a chance I'll take coz it’s worth it. LOL OMG ciao ciao peoples luv ya!

Liam
My name is Liam and I'm 11. I love playing soccer, it's my favourite sport because it's dribble pass shot. I love cricket, wicket keeping and batting hit and run. I joined the Powerwall group because I want to help kids not to smoke and help adults stop smoking.

Louis
Hi, my name is Louis and I am 12 years old. I live (and was born in) Christchurch, New Zealand. I really enjoy playing strategy computer games and making up conspiracies. The reason I joined the Powerwall group was because I wanted to be a part of something that can help people and make a difference in the community.

Ethan
My name is Ethan. I am 12 (and a bit). I am a "geek" in some words. And the reason I am doing this Tear Down the Wall Thing is because kids smoking can cause cancer and the Powerwall is a big factor.


Taiesha
Hello my name is Taiesha. I am a nine year old girl and I go to Discovery One school. My favourite food is butter chicken and sushi, I like pink it's a cool colour. I like Tear Down the Wall because I don't like shopkeepers advertising cigarettes to kids.


Lewis
Hi! I’m Lewis. I'm 10 years old and I live in Christchurch, NZ. My favourite hobbies are reading and drawing. I have a little brother called George and a cat called Tigger. My favourite movie is The Chronicles of Narnia and my favourite food is pizza (or mum and dad’s cooking). I like to read and write all the time. My favourite book is the Edge Chronicles and I go to Discovery 1 School in the city.
